Diana has been a design professional for over 30 years. She trained first receiving a BA in Art with a studio in painting at UC Chico, moving on to study at Woodbury University and completing her Masters in Interior Design at SDSU. Initially Diana designed banks and offices as Senior Designer in San Diego. Moving to the Seattle area, she began working in residential design with occasional office space planning and design. She headed up Macys’ Interior Design Studio for several years before deciding to open Amethyst Designs.

Since opening her own firm, her home which she designed and built, was featured as home of the year in 1998 in “Seattle Home and Lifestyle” magazine. Her present home which she also designed will be featured in “Westsound Home and Garden” magazine in the Spring of 2008, along with other client designs.

She loves every aspect of interior design and interior architecture. She has designed small restaurants, medical offices and would love to see what the next design challenge might be. She is presently working on several remodels. Taking the house to the studs and seeing just how beautiful we can recreate the space is a fun adventure.

Amethyst Designs is named for Diana’s favorite color – purple, but don’t expect to see that in your interior unless it is your favorite color too! She believes creating your home or office is about YOU!
