I am a homeowner on Bainbridge Island, Washington, where Diana had her Interior Design business. As one of the few credentialed ASID businesses on the Island, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to use her highly recommended talents.

She was able to walk with me through a totally bare, completely gutted home, listen to my rambling ideas (which were few) and immediately sense the direction I wanted to go: colors of walls, textures of flooring, and challenging lighting solutions. She was so on target that she never needed more than a few samples of any color or material before I exclaimed, “Aha”!

Diana proposed unique solutions for a lack of storage and light: adding built-in display cabinets and clerestory windows in the dining room, raising the kitchen ceiling to add a skylight, and rearranging the placement of appliances to increase cabinet space (even a long needed pantry!) and traffic flow.

Her patience with a novice (me) added the necessary reassurance throughout the project that deadlines were going to be met on time, that quality would be never be compromised, and, yes, the home would look just like I imagined…and it is magnificent!

I would like to add that imitation is the highest form of flattery anyone can give and I have had a number of friends call to get the name of the interior painter the company that made the stunning dining room light fixture or where to find the unique tumbled slate tiles installed in the bathrooms. I revel in this flattery but it all totally belongs to Diana Bennett Wirtz.

It has been my pleasure to be associated with Diana Bennett Wirtz for the last 32 years. I have watched her growth from a college student in design school through her years working in both the design field and in the sales arena. She is creative, diligent and loyal.

Diana has incredible artistic talent and has used it to it’s fullest extent in many career accomplishments. She has maintained a successful career as a designer in both commercial and residential design as well as branching out into real estate sales, incorporating her design sense and her study of feng shui to assist with her clients. She has designed and built 3 homes which have been published in home trend magazines. She is adept in creating her own artwork. Diana has maintained her association with ASID over the years and has kept current on all aspects and trends in design.

In addition to all of her career accomplishments, Diana was faced with the challenge of becoming a widow at an early age with three young boys to raise. She has faced these challenges with a determination, drive and success that many only dream of. I highly recommend Diana for any endeavor she seeks.
